In the Islands
Yeah… we made it.
And yes, it’s a little hot and humid here this time of year. But we have a place to sleep, and we cooked our first meal last night. It honestly felt like camping—we used a single propane burner, just like we used to when camping back home. What an adventure.
Braden and Kyndal already made friends with some local kids on the beach yesterday, so life is good. We’re still trying to get settled and figure out our next steps. I’m working on setting up meetings with the Ministry of Tourism so we can move forward with our business—easier said than done.

I encouraged Angie to go without makeup all day yesterday. She said she hasn’t done that since she was 14. I reminded her she’s beautiful no matter what. I also joked that without makeup, she can use her shirt to wipe off sweat without worrying about smearing anything. That’s especially helpful since we haven’t figured out how to wash clothes yet—but we’re hoping to fix that today.
We keep laughing and reminding ourselves: what an adventure. The people here are really friendly—especially if we’re the ones to say “hello” first.
Thanks for taking the time to keep up with us. I’m writing this from a cyber café, so I can’t upload pictures yet. It might take a month or so to get an office and internet set up, but we’re working on it.
The good news is: we’re here, safe and sound—with no problems and only a few mosquito bites.
