Back Home

Well we are back on the island. Yeah, that means there is water all the way around. Not only that, there is a lot of water all the way around and a long way to the nearest large land mass. We landed early this morning (about 1:15am). We had to hire a boat to take us to our island because all the public boats stop running about midnight. It took about 30 minutes to get to our island, and then about a 15 minute walk to our flat. Yeah, we had all of our luggage with us. We used a cart from the water taxi place and took it back later this afternoon. Kyndal rode on top of the luggage, so she was the only one that didnt have to walk. However, little legs at 1:45am deserve a break.When we got to our apartment, we noticed it was a lot like the story of the three bears. Im sure you remember that when the three bears went on a little walk, a little person with golden hair made herself a home in the three bears home. Our little golden haired person came to us and said, whose pillow is this? That is when we noticed that a lot of our things were moved around, new soap in the showers, leftovers in the fridge, broken toys, missing money, broken locks on drawers and long brown hair all over the place. Again we were frustrated, but only minor things were missing. I talked to the guys that stays above us and he said the landlord came out for a holiday. He said that was typical here. You can imagine what I was thinking. He acted like it was no big deal. I am thinking that next time if he will not take my oakley’s, not break my kids toys and not charge me for rent while he is snoozing away on my furniture and eating my precious ice cream out of my freezer, than I am sure we can work something out.There was not a break in, he just let himself in with his own key. Our new landlord will be very surprised when we go out of the country for a few days and finds that our locks have been changed and the only keys are with me. I know this was not in my contract. It was ironic that a package was waiting for us at DHL. I knew the package was there, because it actually arrived on the same night we left the country to go to Thailand (which by the way was fabulous) – check out our new pics here – www.bobbycox.org/photos.html. In this package was a brand new game boy, th`ree new games, lots of candy and a NEW IPOD! Thanks TG, you are awesome. When Braden and I went to collect the package and we opened it, Bradens smile was as big as the boat we were in. He said, I am for sure going to write Mrs. T a thank you note. I am purposely leaving her name out as I am not sure she would want me to reveal who she is. Thank you, thank you, thank you!We also collected a package from Fed Ex today with some spices and candy from Nana. Thank you Nana. I am going to build a grill tomorrow and we plan to cook out. We have created a candy bowl and are rationing the candy and gum.I am again at the Cyber shop uploading pics and blog because I guess they dont want me to have Internet at my house. I am going to be really tough tomorrow and say, If I dont have internet in my house by tomorrow, I am canceling and going with the other company. There is only one other to choose from, but I am sure they would like my business as there are not that many customers here. All they have to do is bring the modem and I’m done. I only paid for it a month ago. Lets just see how tough I really am.Good night and good morning! I’m going to bed and you are already starting to think about where you will eat lunch today.
