Camping

We returned this morning from our camping trip. We were supposed to camp with my sister and her family beginning Friday afternoon, but her youngest woke up on Thursday night and began refunding his supper. Yeah I think you know what that means. It means that his brother would do it later that day and her husband the next day. We missed them on our camping trip, but we are glad we missed the upset stomaches. So it was just the 4 of us camping. We went to Hord’s Creek Lake. We camped in tents and had a blast. It was so much fun. The kids didn’t want to come home. So we had a family business meeting. Angie, the home school teacher, reminded us the kids about school and proceeded to make a motion that we return home, her allergies seconded it and so we packed up and brought it on home. Who would have thought it would get so cold in late September? It was really cold at night. It could be that we are used to the island temperature and have not experienced real cold in over two years. We didn’t have sleeping bags, I didn’t take pants or a jacket… I now know better. We cooked camp food, sang camp songs, played camp games, froze our camp rears off, and had a camp blast. Ready to go again. Take a look at our photo album to get the full experience. See all of our camping photos.
