Easter Weekend in Lubbock
Easter weekend in Lubbock was a sweet mix of family, memories, and a few new moments that made it all the more special. Braden and Sarah already had plans to be in town visiting her parents, so it worked out perfectly to see our son while we were visiting Angie’s side of the family.

As always, Patrick and Amy were incredible hosts. Their home has a warmth to it that makes everyone feel welcome, and it’s not long before we’re all laughing and reminiscing about college days—those carefree years when we first started dreaming about the future. Patrick and I couldn’t help but smile thinking back to when we nervously asked Curtis for permission to marry his daughters. Time flies, but those memories still feel fresh.
Angie’s parents made the drive from Brownwood, which meant the whole crew was together. We caught up with Greg and his family, and even got to cheer on Hope during one of her softball games.

Sunday morning, we all went to church with Patrick and Amy, then gathered back at their house for lunch. There’s something about a post-church Easter meal that just feels right—kids running around, the hum of conversation, and that feeling of gratitude lingering in the air. One by one, families packed up and said their goodbyes, heading off in different directions with full hearts.

We head back to Phoenix in the morning, thankful for a weekend that brought us all together. These kinds of weekends remind me just how good God has been to our family.
