A Day Away

We had heard from the other foreigners living here that there was a resort nearby that allowed work permit holders to spend the day on the resort. We can enjoy the beach, privacy, a swimming pool, and the freedom to wear bathing suits for only $5 per person. We have lived here over 10 months and had not visited this resort. Well today was the day. As it turns out, our kids were free, so it only cost us $10 plus lunch. We all came home really sunburned. We had a great day despite leaving all of our snorkel gear and camera at home. Sorry we dont have any pictures to show you. We have some friends that live on another island down south and to our surprise, they got on the boat this morning and joined us all day. It was a lot of fun to get caught up on life on another island.

We have some other friends coming to the house tomorrow, so now I am sitting in the living room updating the blog, the kids are fast asleep and Angie is cleaning the house.

I guess I am writing the accounts of the day because it was different from our daily routine. We dont normally go to resorts, we dont get see our friends that live down south, our kids dont get to bed this early and we are rarely in our home in the evening without visitors. Well, Angie cleaning is normal, but we cant really escape that. While we love the daily routine, the day away felt really good.
