Adopt a Beach
Today is Friday, but it operates a lot like Saturday or Sunday in the states. It is an off day for everyone. This morning Braden, four of his friends and myself spent about 2 hours cleaning up the garbage in front of our house. I told the guys I would pay them and they worked hard. We hauled ten bags of garbage to the dump site and plan to go back later this evening and finish the job while the other side is in the shade. Basically there is a littering problem in the islands. We thought we would set a good example by cleaning plus we just wanted it gone from the view of our front door. I should have taken before and after pics, but I forgot.
After clean up, I decided to give my underwater camera housing another try. I took one of those, “throw this away and do not eat” packets that come with electronics to soak up moisture and stuff it in the housing. It worked great and kept the lens from fogging. I posted the pics. These were taken in front of our house. There are many better places to snorkel, but these are my test pics. I am planning to take my camera on a safari next week and should get some really good pics. Take a look at the new pics here.
