BUSTED!!!!
Ok, now that i've got your attention, let me tell you the story that goes with the caption! Today is Sunday, and Bobby left this morning to take a group of three men on a fishing trip to an outer island. The kids and I had a good day and a good dinner. Got homework done and were taking 30 minutes of reading time. I was thinking that I was actually going to get them in bed on time and still have some time to myself before I went to bed, then . . . the phone rang. It was David, our friend and fellow employee. He said Bobby had just called him from the island and said he was getting phone calls about water running out from under his office door. David was on the way to check it out and needed the office keys.
So David called me after about 5 minutes from the office. In the background I could hear water gushing like a waterfall. A pipe had busted somewhere in the ceiling. It was literally raining, in our office only, on our furniture, computers, printer, and the school desks for the language school, set to open June 14. Well, curiosity was eating at three members of the Cox family, so we got out of our pajamas and into some clothes and went down to the office to check it out for ourselves. It seems the flood was the main attraction on the island. We drew quite a crowd. I can't say that I blame the gawkers. Water was steadily running from the second floor onto the sidewalk below.
Needless to say, I sincerely hope that is the only “minor disaster” that will happen while my husband is away! Wanna hear the irony in it? Earlier today, I had fixed (all by myself) a small leak under a bathroom sink at our house. And I was thinking to myself at that time, “something always goes wrong when Bobby is gone!”
