Friendly Visit

Check out some of the pics from my recent Adventure Tour.

Yesterday's boat ride back from the outer island was foreshadowing of today. It was a rough ride. It took 2 1/2 hours to cut through the channel and arrive safely back with my family. We traveled through two storms and 6-10 foot swells in our little boat. We had a great time on the island; however, the fishing was not good.

Although I was not in a boat today, the day was just as rough. If it could have gone wrong today, it did. I am still trying to recover from being out of the office for a week and that's not easy when you return to an office that had been flooded by sea water. Yeah, it was a sea water line in the ceiling. Go figure. Whoever said all drains lead to the ocean didn't finish the thought… the ocean drains lead to my office. Printers, computers, papers, files, desks, chairs, router, internet, phones… all floating around in sea water. I have to say, I am thankful that I didn't have to clean it all up, but I am trying to recover and keep the work flow going. I really don't want to go into the whole list of things that went wrong today, but I do want to tell you that I am really looking forward to our friendly visit tonight.

We have some friends coming to see us. These friends are college friends of ours… the Burtch family. Mark and Audra have 3 kids and two of them are the ages of our kids. Are kids are so excited. Mark has been a math professor in Dubai for the last 3 years and is moving back to the USA in June. They wanted to come see us before heading back. They will stay on our island and play for the next three days. Let's hope the rain goes away (not likely… its rainy season) so we can swim and play on the beach.
