Hey everyone! It’s Becky. I was telling Bobby that he really should update his blog and update everyone as to where they are on their travels. He gave me his password and said “have at it.” So I will do my best to update you.

Their travel plans took an unexpected detour. Our only living grandparent became ill with pneumonia and passed away on Friday. It has been a long, yet whirlwind few days since then. GrandDaddy was a wonderful man. I won’t even attempt to convey Bobby’s feelings there. I’ll leave that to him. Let’s just say that he was incredible and largely responsible for who we are today. For that, we are grateful. His funeral was on Monday. It was a hard day.

This is where I come in. The good thing that came out of this, if you can call any of it good, is that I got to see my family about a month early. I was giddy with excitement. I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful these faces are. I am in sister/sister-in-law/aunt heaven. It won’t last long. But that’s beyond okay. I got to see them. We’ve spent today together and it’s been wonderful. Angie and the kids are going to see her parents tomorrow and Bobby will stay in San Angelo until Thursday. That’s when they will be back on track with their itinerary over there on the left.

Right now, Bobby and Angie are at Starbucks and their kids are here. Do you think they’ll come back? It’s loud here. But I love it. I know I’ll crave this noise after they’re gone.

They are doing great. Loving on my kids and about to love on Aunt Amy’s kids. Amy, get ready! Save us some love though. Okay, enough guest blogging.
