I can cook!
Ok, 99.23% of my readers could care less about my ability to cook. Nor will they be impressed that I attempted to cook something. However, my mom, my wife and maybe my big sister would certainly be impressed. Now I know that many men can cook, but my mom cooked for me until I got married. Now I am not claiming to be a chef or anything. My dad taught me how to grill so I could do that. And I loved cooking breakfast while I was camping, so I can do breakfast food. This week, David taught me how to make pasta (ha ha had no idea it was that easy.) So today, we were on the main island and stopped in a new little shop. The shop carried lots of stuff from Australia… boneless chicken breast, vegetables, and lots of other goodies. So I bought some chicken and a squash. Look what I did.
Yep, that was lunch today. Oh man. The zucchini was so good. I googled how to make iced tea earlier in the week, so I had some tea with my lunch.
I ate it all! I’d much rather eat Angie’s cooking, but at least I got my protein and veggies.
I gave it a thumbs up. Yeah, I’m not wearing a shirt either. I cooked, ate and cleaned it all up without a shirt. I know it’s rude to eat at the table without a shirt, but nobody else was there.
Angie sent me an email on how to make mashed potatoes…. my favorite. I’m going to give that a try tonight. I still have one chicken breast left over.
One last thought. I really dont like cooking. I guess that is why I am so impressed with myself on this. I really dont like cleaning up the mess from cooking either. But you know what I dislike even more? Being hungry.
