In Dubai

We are now in Dubai. The plane ride was shorter than expected and was uneventful. Because we left at 11:00pm from New York, we slept a good portion of the flight. We arrived in Dubai at 8:00pm (their time.) Our friends picked us up from the airport and we left 6 bags in overnight storage at the airport. We woke up every hour during the night, but feel very rested. The heat is unbelievable here. I would hate to be here for the entire UAE summer. We heard the prayer call from the nearby mosque at 5:00 AM this morning. We are staying near the famous sail shaped hotel here in Dubai. I plan to go jogging in the morning and will run right by it. Ok, well we will be here through Saturday and then head back to the islands. We will keep you posted. We had a great time in the states.
