Island Safari
We returned yesterday from our first Island Safari. This was our families first time to spend and extended amount of time on a boat. We all did great. Due to some changes in the route and schedule, we Angie and Kyndal only went for the first half of the safari and were dropped back on our island half way through the week.
Braden and I continued on with the private charter to two different atolls. Our adventure took us to 5 inhabited islands and sever uninhabited islands. We met many new people and saw many new faces.
The group that reserved the charter are from the USA and wanted to see as much of the country as possible in just a few days. One of the men in the group new that I loved photography and brought a camera for me to use through out the week. I used a Canon 350D. I have uploaded a page of photos for you to see. I took about 300 pictures, but I narrowed it to my top 20 – click here to see them all. As I took the group to the airport this morning, the friend that brought the camera, said, “Bobby, I want you to hang on to this for me.” He gave me the camera. WOW! Thanks a million Larry! How do you say thanks for such a wonderful gift? I guess I will use it and continue to post pictures. As you can see in the pictures, I was trying to capture the character of the islanders…. I hope you get the idea.
We are back at home now and getting back into the routine and looking forward to our next safari group in February.
