Mothers Club
Last week I joined a club. It's called the Mothers' Club, and it meets at Braden's school on Tuesdays. Any mom of a student at the school can come. It's actually a cooking class led by the wife of the school's principal. They are a Turkish couple, so each week she teaches us how to make a Turkish dish! My first week there, she made Roll Kofta for us. It's a lot like meatloaf, but you put vegetables on top of the beef, then roll them up in it. It was so good, and I knew when I tasted it that my family would love it. I fixed it last night, and they told me to definitely fix it again. Yay! New menu item. Also, we had thought that good ground beef was a thing of the past because the store where we had been buying it was no longer carrying it, but thanks to my new Turkish friend, I found out where to get some!
I met eight women at the club that I didn't know, and we had a great time cooking, eating and chatting.
