Ready, Set, School!
I cannot describe how excited the kids are to go to school. One of them is a little bit nervous about it… I'll let you guess who that is. The school has called us three times today. They don't seem to be very efficient in their phone calls. There are only about 600 kids in the school. I can't imagine calling each parent three times in one day… that' 1800 calls. O-well, its not my bill. We went back by the school today to exchange Braden's pants. Braden took the largest size offered for his grade the other day. The pants are designed to be cut and hemmed. Well… there was not enough to hem. We were able to get a larger size today and they are long enough for him now. We took them to a tailor shop around the corner, had them hemmed ($2.50) and we are ready to go. Angie and I have a list of things to do tomorrow. We plan to stay on the main island the entire day. We have to catch the 6:50am boat in the morning because the school called today and told us that school will begin at 7:30am tomorrow. This is 30 minutes earlier than the schedule. They will be in school until 3:30pm. Should be fun. I'll take a first day of school pic tomorrow.
Kyndal enjoyed her sleepover with her American friends and Braden seized the opportunity and had a friend (Hassan) stay over last night too. They guys had a lot of fun watching movies, playing video games, etc. I think we tried to do everything we could on our last free weekend before school.
