Stuck

We made it to JFK. You would think with as many times as I have done this, I would know exactly what to do. Actually, I am pretty good at reading signs and navigating that getting to where I need to go is not really a problem. My problem is usually timing. We arrived at JFK at 4:00PM in terminal 8 and fly out at 11:00PM at terminal 4. Well, I knew we needed to take the air train around to terminal 4. So we hopped on the train and disembarked and that is when I remembered that you can only check in to your flight 4 hours before departure. Since we can't check in until 7:00PM, we are stuck outside the gate area for a few hours. We found a hallway on the backside of the terminal and are sitting on the ground. At least we are not outside. We all have short sleeves on and it's 38 in New York.

We realized that with the free wifi in the airport and the Slingbox at the Sherrill's house, we hope to catch the big game tonight while we wait for our flight. We will probably have to board before the end of the game. Oh and that reminds me. As we were walking through DFW today, there was an entire family wearing their OU garb. It was a bit obnoxious. All they needed was a schooner and that stupid song. As we walked by, I made the “Booo” sound. It was one of those times that my mouth worked before my brain. I couldn't believe I did that. They looked at me and laughed, I think. I am wearing an orange golf shirt so I think they thought I must be a UT fan. It took Angie a minute to figure out what had just happened and then realized she missed the opportunity to join in. Ha ha. We really have a lot of fans that like OU. I really wish there was a way that OU could loose the game tonight and still make the Big XII look good, but there is not. So I guess I will quietly be pulling for Oklahoma tonight… I just hope it is a low scoring game so we can minimize how many times the band has to play the only song they know.
