Sunny Weekend

We just finished a sunny weekend here. Kyndal had some American friends spend the night with her last night. I'm not sure how much sleeping took place because it seemed everybody was exhausted today. We took our beach umbrella out today at 11:00am and stayed out on the beach until 4:00pm. I was rarely out from under the umbrella and I got sun burned. Braden was never under the umbrella and well, he got roasted. We only put one layer of sunscreen on him…. that is not enough on a sunny day on the equator.

I am picking up a group from the USA in a couple of days. We will be going on an Adventure Tour in the southern part of the islands. It should be a lot of fun. We plan to show our guests how the locals live and allow them to spend some time with them. They will eat in the local's home, fish, and visit with them. We will also do a motorcycle tour of the island and plan to do a beach BBQ and camp out on the beach and wait for the large sea turtles to come lay eggs… should be an adventure. Don't worry, I'll take pictures.

Braden is not in school anymore. We got the chance to get both of our kids in the international school on the main island. We would much rather them be in the international school on our island, but they do not offer grade 3. So, we decided to put them both together in the same school. The school is an Australian standard but run by locals. They both passed the entrance exam (that was a stressful day) and are now both on the roll at the school. They don't start school until Feb 8th, but will share the same holidays and have the same school hours. Angie or I will be having to take them and pick them up everyday. Looks like a lot more boat rides than in previous years.
