Surfing

Braden and I got the opportunity to go surfing today. We are still trying to learn. We cant surf off of our island because the way our island is shaped. We need a point where the wave will break and our island is long and narrow and the waves crash flat on the reef. So, we hired a boat and took it to a nearby (1 1/2 hours away) island and our surfing friends continued to teach us. I caught three really nice waves but have yet to stand up on the board. I just rode the waves laying on the board. Im pretty sure I can stand up on it, but I am trying to master catching the right wave at the right time. It was a lot of fun. My last wave was a really long ride that took me far away from where the waves were breaking. It actually took me to another set of waves and I rode it too. It took everything I had to paddle the board back to the boat. I was so exhausted. I hope we get to go again real soon.
