Vacation Day 1

We left San Angelo at 1:00pm (right on time) headed to New Mexico to start our family vacation. We loaded the camper and pickup with enough stuff that you would think we were moving to New Mexico. Our first stop is Brantley State Park (only $14 per night). We got camp all set and even took the mountain bikes for a quick ride around the park loop. Angie rated the showers and bathrooms a 4 star. Not bad. The sunset was beautiful.

We played a bluffing card game last night where the object is to get rid of all your cards by playing them in order. Angie played 2 tens and then it was Kyndal’s turn. She laid down 3 cards and said “three elevens.” We laughed until we almost cried. Braden called her bluff. If she had only known that Jacks come after tens. She is so innocent.

Headed to Carlsbad Caverns next.
