Waiting

I am in the process of editing some videos on my computer and thought I would blog a little while it was exporting. We are in the process of making a video for our friends at home. The kids are narrating the video while we buy a few things and move about the islands. It’s pretty cool. I bet you get to see it pretty soon. I’ll see if I have enough web space to post it here….

We really have had some great weather over the last few days. When I say great, I mean not rainy. The temperature in the shade is about 85… but with the sun and humidity its about 98 or so. When I went out to run this morning at 7am it was already hot. It didn’t take long before I had a good sweat going. By the way, my running partner is doing a great job at almost killing me. He pushes me right up to my limit. The other day we had a training on the beach. We ran, did push ups, sit ups, jumps, and tons of other stuff to completely wear me out. I came in with sand on me and sweat dripping everywhere. I’m pretty sure I’m getting faster. We will see.

The kids both have roller skates now. Its so funny. Braden looks about ten feet tall wearing his and Kyndal just rolls from one room to the other. The other day when I came home from lunch, Braden was coming out of the bathroom with his roller blades on and Kyndal was carrying a plate to the table on hers. He was proud to have navigated the bathroom obstacles with his new rolling shoes and Kyndal looked like a car hop at Sonic. Oh, Sonic… that would be nice right now. Love those Cherry Limeades.

We have had lots of company this week. We had some friends from some distant islands come to our house 3 times this week. Ashraf brought his wife and baby. Ashraf is Kudabe’s son. Ha ha, you have know idea who these people are or how to say their names. This fun…. let me tell you more. Ashraf’s wife’s name Defliin and their baby is named Aafaaf. We also had Sooda, Yunus, and Yasin over as well. Guess I shouldnt leave off Azeema and Aydin. Azeema is one of the regulars on the beach in the afternoon. Well, I guess that should do.
