We’re back in business!

Hey blog fans! It’s Angie, and I’m writing today because I’m the only one here who can!! Our first tour group, which consisted of five guys, all from various parts of the globe, arrived about mid-morning on Thursday. They came to our apartment where we visited and rested, since they were a bit jet lagged. Friday morning began early, as the group (with Bobby and Braden) had to meet their boat at 8 am. They have been touring three different islands since Friday, and they will return Sunday evening. Events on the itinerary included a visit to an ancient Buddhist temple, estimated to be 600 years old; a cultural center, where local people would be enacting times past in a typical village; an island on which basket weaving and thatch making are a means of income; night fishing and bar-b-que; and whale-watching (shark whales, that is. The group was told that if they saw one, it would likely be larger than the speedboat they would be on!) I have heard from Bobby a few times since they left, and he said the trip was going very well, in every respect. Meanwhile, Kyndal and I have shared some much needed girl time. Last night, we watched a movie, colored in her new Barbie coloring book, and painted fingernails. Today has been less entertaining for her, as I have had to spend the morning cleaning the new apartment. Yes, it’s finally ours. Boy, was clean-up a job. The builders here are just as messy as they are in the States, but they don’t pay anyone to come in and do preliminary clean-up. Every inch of dust, plaster, grout and in our case, sand, is ours alone to clean up. It was a long morning. She is now sitting across from me in Bobby’s office playing Barbie.com, while I catch up on blogs and emails. We know your prayers have gotten us this far in this journey. We treasure them for our future journey. We are back in business and are ready for the next assignment our Boss would give.
