What a day!!

Today was one of those days where everything just went my way. First of all, its Saturday. That should be enough right there. We slept a little late and then had our family meeting about mid-morning. This is our weekly meeting where we sing, read and pray together as a family. Since there are no churches where we live, we just meet privately as a family. Pretty rich time. We talked about fruit today and it was my favorite kind… kindness. We all memorize a verse that relates to the specific fruit for the week. So far we have memorized verses for love, joy, peace, patience, and now kindness.

So after the family meeting, I drew some plans to take to a carpenter. I want to have some hanging rods and shelves built for each room. We will use these to dry clothes. It's kind of weird here as nobody has a dryer, so all the clothes hang dry. So these shelf/clothes hangers are long overdue. So I went in search of a carpenter and apparently my drawing was good enough to explain what I wanted. Well, actually I guess we will see about that tomorrow when I go see the result. I also had him make a small wooden frame to go in front of our door to wash sand off of our feet. It is designed so that the sand will fall through the cracks. So I am pretty excited about it. So if we are gonna have a new place to wash our sandy feet, I thought we are gonna need access to water. There is no outside tap for our house. I bought the materials and installed an outside tap with a water hose. Actually, I had a little leak on this one just as a maintenance guy came around to paint the front door. He quickly took over and now we have a water hose in front of our house… so cool and long overdue.

One more thing…. I have an Apple TV and I just found a way to watch DVDs, DVI, MP4, surf the internet, play all types of media, watch YouTube videos and much more. I am installing the new software on the device now. Oh I hope this day keeps at this pace. Guess I'll let you know how the shelves and Apple TV come out.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot. I talked to the owner of our building and asked if the maintenance guy that came to paint our front door could paint the inside of our house. He said sure. Wow, are you kidding me? I don't have to paint? Sweet. They are coming on Tuesday to repaint my house. How cool is that?
